So, straight to business.
Ever wonder what to pack for a weekend trip?
You have to take into consideration where you will be going for dinner and doing during the day and it's just so much to think about you could get stressed out!
Well thats what i'm here for :)
First my moto for packing is
"Yes, i may not even wear it, but i rather have it that not"
Because if you are like me, you won't pack something thinking your not going to wear it and then when you get there you wish you had it! haha.
So here are the basic's that every girl should pack 3-5 day vacation.
Two dresses: a day dress and a dress that you could put on just incase you go to a fancy restaurant.
Since this is the summer and thats when most people go on vacation, you got to have a variety of shorts. Jean shorts, if your going to an amusement park or fair, and a pair of white or khaki shorts just so your not wearing jeans shorts twice in a row.
Then you got to pack at least one pair of bermudas or capris if one day is chillier than you thought it was going to be. That is also why you pack at least on pair of jeans. You never know when you need a pair of jeans :)
Now that we are done with bottoms let's talk about the tops.
Two nicer/dressier shirts, maybe one a tank top.
You also want to pack a few casual tanks or plain v-neck tees for during the day.
Don't forget to pack the PJs and the undies either! haha.
Now for the PACKING GUIDE!!!
Ever had a problem fitting everything you want to pack into one suitcase?
Well i got the solution right here! Instead of doing the usual fold stuff into a square follow these steps and you'll be sure to fit all your favorite clothes into one suitcase! I'll use the pink v-neck shirt pictured above as an example.
Step one: fold in half long ways
Step two: fold in half short ways (or hamburger)
Step three: start rolling
Step four: roll all the way until it looks like the pic haha
then TA-DA!!! much more room for all the clothes you want/NEED to pack haha.
Now what are the clothes without accessories! So of course you have to pack those.
You don't want to just dump them all in your suitcase or just put them all in one big bag either. Stuff can get tangled, broken, lost ect. It just isn't a good mix, so i would suggest getting a travel organizer like the one pictured below that folds up and you can stick in your suitcase.
The necklaces that have charms and dangling things you want to put in a separate pouch so they don't get all tangled up.
Well that pretty much wraps this post that I worked all weekend on! haha
Oh and just something else I want to add...
Pairing a cute blouse with some distressed blue jean shorts can really dress the shorts up and are perfect for a summer party.
