Spring Break Destination #3: New York City, New York

Travel North East and visit one of the most fashionable cities in the world, New York. Wear something urban and faltering like a fun printed sun dress paired with a simple jacket or cardi and you'll be sure to turn heads on the crowded streets.

What are we going to do?
New York is so huge that and there is so much to do that I couldn't possibly name everything! Just to mention a few, there are tons of museums that you can visit plus the zoo, statue of liberty, Empire State Building, Broadway, ect...

Where are we going to eat?
Its NY! Grab a hot dog off the street on almost every corner! Also found everywhere in NY is a pizza place, but be sure to get the best pizza at Lombardi's, who is said to have the first full-sized pizzeria in NY.

Where are we going to SHOP?
In NYC you could go to 7th and Fashion to shop...but your need a pretty penny to afford anything in those shops. However, you can go to lower Manhattan. Just across from the World Trade Center Site (stop by and pay your respects) is Century 21 that has floors of designer names for awesome discounts.

Spring Break Destination #2: Las Vegas, Nevada

To stand out in the large crowds of the casinos in Vegas, wear something flashy with out going overboard, like this gold sequin crop tube top paired with a denim crop vest.
With a great pair of wedges and some slick shades your ready to walk the neon streets in style.*

What are we going to do?
Are you kidding? Do I even need to answer this question. Vegas has a mass abundance of shows, casinos, and over 20 bands. Also, coming up in the spring, they are going to be hosting the 11th annual Extreme Fest featuring BMX riders, skaters, and dirt bike riders.

Where are we going to eat?
Again, it's Vegas, if you can't find a buffet near by then your lost. All Casino feature buffets and restaurant galore. But if buffets and up-scale dinning aren't your thing, Vegas has your typical Bar&Grills such as Planet Hollywood or The Hard Rock Cafe.

Where are we going to SHOP?
There are a variety of shops on the Vegas strip to choose from. Each of them have a little something different that you can't get anywhere else. Looking for a mall? Try the Galleria, Meadows Mall, or the District of Green Valley Ranch. Vegas also has the specialty shops every vaca spot has where you can get your gifts to take back home.

Spring Break Destination #1: Austin Texas

When going south, make sure to mix feminine pieces such as the floral lace back tank pictured above, with boho details like the scarf, shoes, and heart pendant necklace.*
Now Austin doesn't seem like your typical spring break place to visit so you probably have some questions:

What are we going to do?
Austin, Texas has an awesome music scene, so when you are visiting be sure to go to a concert.

Where are we going to eat?
When in Texas, eat like the Texains do. Try some southwestern BBQ at Country Line BBQ. But if BBQ isn't your thing and your looking for something a little fancier, try Jeffery's, a local favorite in Austin that has fine cuisine.

Where are we going to SHOP?
Just like any vaca spot, Austin's 2nd street district have upscale and trendy shops that line the streets of downtown.
Looking for something a little more unique? Try shopping at South Congress. Find shops that aren't in your typical mall.

Career Outfit #2, 3, & 4 (from Career Wardrobe Chart)

The Classic

I put the black blazer over the...
basic white button down paired with the...
black trousers and black pumps.
For the accessories, just the simple pearl studs and the watch.

Modern Tradition
The outfit above is a modern spin on a traditional "men's-wear" career outfit.
The basic white button down tucked into the...
Grey pin-striped trousers paired with the...
Pointy toed black flats
To give it a modern twist I added the pearl bracelets instead of the watch, simple pearl studs and a fitted tan trench coat.

Classy not Classic
This outfit is a more lady like career outfit that shows your still in power but your also still a lady.
The brightly colored blouse under the...
Black Blazer paired with the...
black pencil skirt and black pumps.

Career Outfit #1 (from Career Wardrobe Chart)

This is a career look that is more on the casual side. Some days you just want to be comfortable at work, but that doesn't mean you have to look frumpy.
If you refer to my Career Wardrobe chart in the post before this one you can see i've pulled the:
-neutral color cardi over the...
-basic white button down paired with the...
-grey pin-striped trouser
For comfort I pulled the pointy-toed flats
and the watch with bling, to give the outfit a sophisticated look.
Roll up the sleeves on the cardi and you have a comfy career outfit.

Career Wardrobe

Ok, so I lied in my coming soon post. I promise I'll have Valentines Outfits and How to Wear a Belt up soon. But right now, here is a Basic Career Wardrobe Chart. There are other things like this out there, I know (where do you think I got my inspiration) but the thing about mine is its on the less expensive side than the others. This chart was made from only 2 stores, H&M and Forever21, and none of the pieces go over $40. Yay for spending less!

TOPS:
Neutral Cardi. Neutral Sweater. Basic White Button Down. Brightly Colored Blouse. And what every career wardrobe should have, a Black Tailored Blazer.

BOTTOMS:
Black Trousers. Grey (or any other neutral) Trouser. Neutral Colored Print Dress. Black Pencil Skirt. And for outerwear, A trench in Tan, Brown or Black.

ACCESSORIES:
Basic Black Pump. Over-sized Watch with a little bit of Bling. Pearl (or pearl like) Bracelets. Pointy toed Black Flats. Stud earrings in a cute shape (flower, bow, star, ect.), pearl, and diamond. And the best way to add a pop of color to an almost all neutral wardrobe, a bag in a Bright Red, Blue, or Green. Note if you have a few extra $$$ to spend you could match the shoes with your bags.

*All clothing items and shoes are form H&M
*All accessories from Forever21

In my next post (hopefully coming soon), I'll show you how to pair these pieces together, but this morning I just didn't have the time. So keep checking back!
