Conning in all Seasons

So I trend that I have noticed that has been popping up in clothing stores everywhere is different variations of the Body Con Skirt. Body Con mean its going to be VERY close fitting to the body and straight. So if your trying to hide certain areas of you but your thighs...I would not recommend these skirts to you. Con skirts are great because they can seriously be worn with everything and in all seasons! Here are some examples.

Winter Con Skirt

Tips:
- Notice the skirt has a winter pattern on it
- pair it with a long sleeve, scarf, tights and boots

Spring Con Skirt

Tips:
- The skirts has ruffles on the side and is in a pastel color
- Lace and floral are basic must have pieces for a spring outfit
- Nude shades in shoes are also a big must have for spring

Summer Con Skirt

Tips:
- The skirt is in a multi, bright, colored striped pattern
- Shirts that tie up or that are cropped are a summer basic
- Floppy hats are fun (especially in colors) and are a great alternative to sunglasses
-wedged heel are the shoe for the summer but if your not into that just throw on a pair of blinged out flip flops

Fall Con Skirt

Tips:
-The skirt has sort of a Native American print on it
- Mix neutrals colors with a pop of bright color (such as bright blue or orange)
- pair it with booties and tights depending on the temp that day.

Most Everything in these outfits came from Charlotte Russe or forever21.
All the shoes are from Victoria Secret.

Rainy Day

Seeing as spring is coming up and the weather will be changing, there is going to be a lot of rainstorms. This can make it difficult to pick out what to wear.
The outfit shown above is a basic winter-to-spring rainy day outfit.

Tips:
-Start with a solid color long sleeve tee, preferably in a neutral
(can be switched out for short sleeve in warmer weather)
- Dark wash jeans.
- Add a brightly colored scarf
(thickness of the scarf can be based on the temp outside, they make scarf that can be worn in the spring)
- And the most important part. The RAIN BOOTS. Just because its rainy and grey out doesn't mean you have to dress like the weather. Get rain boots either in a bright color or with an interesting pattern on them, for example, lace.
- Get an umbrella to match the boots and you now are fashionably prepared to go out on a rainy day.

Shirt- Target
scarf- Forever21
Jeans- Hollister
Boots- Gordmans
Umbrella- Unknown (googled "lace pattern umbrella")

Colorful Winter

Like in my January Outfit shown in "Outfit of the Month"
I really try to stress that you CAN wear bright colors in winter!
Pictured on the right is an outfit I wore a couple weeks ago.
On the left is another version of the outfit that if, I had the money, would wear :)

With out the grey basic pieces, the outfit may seem "spring-ish".
But by adding a grey cardi and tights, you've made the switch over to a winter outfit.

Tips:
- Wear a bright tee-shirt under a grey or black cardi for the winter
(don't wear yellow and black though, you'll look like a bumble bee)
-Add a floral accent (such as the belts show above) to your winter looks.

My Outfit:
Shirt & Skirt- Forever 21
Cardi, Belt & Tights- Target

Outfit on the Left:
Shirt & Belt- Forever 21
Cardi- H&M
Skirt- Charlotte Russe

New & Imporved

So this semester of college I have a little more time to waste than last.
2011 was a dry year for this blog due to my job and school schedule.
So this year I'm going to try and post regularly.

I have "redecorated" the blog. If you haven't already noticed some changes.
-New Title : STYLE. (because that's what the new blog will mainly be about).
-Sorry but no more "tips" "hints" or tricks, just outfits I've put together that I think are stylish. If I think of a tip, I'll post it but unlike before I'm noting going to try and strain my self to think of something to write about.
-I'm in love with the grey & yellow color combo.
-Every 18th of the month (or before) I will post an "Outfit of the month"
-The designs tab will be like my personal pro-folio of outfits I've designed that will be for public view
-The style for your home tab will have posts about stylish home deco
Don't expect all this stuff to be up right away because I still do have a life beyond this blog but the improvements will start to come in slowly :)
